Our Timberwolf section is for kids ages 8-10. In this age group, we focus on developing autonomy and becoming good community members. While prioritizing safety, Timberwolves practice and gain confidence in problem-solving, organizing, planning and how to work as a team with different personalities. These are achieved by learning outdoor skills such as pitching tents, cooking camp meals, creating campfire entertainment, orienteering, knots, fire skills and safety, knife skills and safety, first aid and more. They also focus on giving back to their community through both volunteering and working together to develop their own service projects.

The scouts will participate and help with:

  • Monthly meetings focused on learning and games
  • Afternoon weekend outdoor activities such as hiking
  • 2-3 service projects each year
  • 3-5 camping trips
